The Constellation Collection

The Dalmore 1969 (cask no. 14)

This whisky spent 36 years slumbering in our deepest darkest warehouses, nurtured in American white oak casks.

Only when the time was right, did our Master Distiller reawaken this whisky.

The spirit was carefully transferred into a specially selected Matusalem oloroso cask which previously contained 30 year old sherry. This exquisite sherry cask, sourced from the renowned bodega González Byass, further enhances the spirits beauty and gifts it with notes of fig, raisins and pecan pie.

For its final refinement the whisky was transferred into a freshly emptied bourbon cask for two years.

Volume: 70cl ABV: X

The Flavour Profile

The Colour

Radiant amber with glowing highlights

The Nose

Black toffee, candied orange, bitter chocolate and Jamaica pepper, followed by notes of Oolong tea, fig raisins, creamy caramel and ripe mangos

The Flavour

Moist banana fig cake, poached fruits, almonds, cinnamon and pecan pie, with an aftertaste of toasted pistachios, peach syrup, fudge and pineapple

I decided to release two different casks from 1969. Cask no.1 showcases the elegance of American white oak, whilst this cask (no. 14) demonstrates the power and undeniable influence that our exclusive Matusalem oloroso casks can have on the flavour of our whisky
