Constellation 1969Cask no. 1

The spirit was initially matured in the great American white oak, 'Quercus alba'.

Bedding deep into the pores of the wood, the spirit began to draw its colour and beauty from this majestic cask.

Over 40 long years, the cask gifted soft vanilla and honey notes before the spirit was lovingly re-casked into a 'small batch' bourbon barrel for a further three years.

This final movement was all this whisky required to take it to the peak of perfection.

Colour – Amber honey gold with rays of sunlight.

Nose – Sweet apple, pear and caramelised orange segments, followed by coffee mousse, soft liquorice, nutmeg, rich praline and pineapple.

Taste – Cinnamon, toffee and black cherries with whispers of freshly baked banana bread, sultanas, treacle and nutty toffee.
